A wine and food event presented by Artesana Fine Wines and Jackson's Steakhouse
Jackson's Steakhouse is proud to partner with local wine merchant, Artesana Fine Wines, to present a wine and food event, "A Taste of the Season," on Thursday, May 6, at 5:30 p.m. at Jackson's Steakhouse.
With Chef Irv Miller's new spring/summer menu as the inspiration, Artesana Fine Wines has hand selected four stellar wines to complement a selection of dishes from Chef Miller's spring/summer features. The featured presentation for the evening is as follows:
Reception:
A selection of crostini topped with fresh, local ingredients; paired with Marcel Martin Brut NV, a sparkling white from Loire Valley, France
Second Pairing:
Chef Irv's coastal crab cake on cornbread croustade, with wilted spinach, tomato jam, white balsamic butter sauce, candied mammoth pecans and sweet potato hay; paired with Pavilion Crossing Chardonnay Reserve 2008, North Coast, California
Third Pairing:
Pan-roasted chicken breast wrapped with thick-sliced bacon and stuffed with country ham and smoky cheddar cheese with baked mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetable julienne; paired with William Hatcher Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2006, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Fourth Pairing:
Beef tenderloin with tempura-fried lobster on buttered croutons atop whipped potatoes, served with demi-glace, stacked with soy-sauce-brushed baby bok choy and ginger-scallion sauce; paired with Chappellet Mountain Cuvee 2007, a Cabernet/Merlot blend from Napa Valley, California
To Finish:
Beignets drizzled with roasted pecan infused maple syrup and dusted with confectioner's sugar
