Jackson's Steakhouse and the Pensacola Opera present Dinner and an Aria featuring Hanan Tarabay and Howard Reddy
Once again, Jackson's is proud to partner with the Pensacola Opera to present another installment of our ever-popular series, "Dinner and an Aria," on Thursday, April 26, at Jackson's Steakhouse.
The featured performers, Hanan & Howard, will be accompanied on piano by Martin Tate and will present favorites from the world of opera, classic Broadway, folk and contemporary music. It will be a highly entertaining and enjoyable evening.
Pensacola native Hanan Tarabay and her husband, Howard Reddy, who hails from Ireland, are both dynamic vocalists who have performed primarily classical repertoire throughout Europe and North America. Past performance venues include the Palm Beach Opera, Florida; Grange Park Opera, United Kingdom; Teatro Regio, Turin, Italy; Spoleto Festival, Italy; Wexford Festival Opera and the Netherlands Opera Studio in Amsterdam, among others. Hanan & Howard have also performed in concert and oratorio at the Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C.; Carnegie Hall, New York City; York Minster Cathedral, United Kingdom; and the National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ireland, among others. Now with a desire to expand their musical horizons and reach a broader audience, Hanan & Howard are combining their love of the classical and folk traditions with a modern contemporary approach to create a fresh and exciting new musical experience.
Last season Hanan & Howard performed in Pensacola Opera's production of Little Women. This year they are performing in the March production, Rigoletto, in supporting roles. Hanan will also perform with the Pensacola Symphony in their performance of Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream. Future plans include being presented in concert at the Eigse Arts Festival in Ireland this June, and they look forward to a busy and exciting schedule in 2012.
Dinner and an Aria: An Evening with Hanan & Howard at Jackson's Steakhouse will provide a wonderful opportunity that offers all an up-close, personal performance by some remarkable, young, dynamic singers.
There will be two seatings for this event: 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. In addition to our full dinner menu, which will be available for the evening, Chef Miller has prepared a special-feature entrée: a 14-ounce rib-eye steak with ginger, garlic and smoked tomato chutney, demi-glace, sautéed broccoli and whipped potatoes.
This is a limited-seating event (which was a sold-out crowd last year). This event is sure to be thrilling, visual and emotional - one that electrifies all the senses. To reserve your table, please call Jackson's Steakhouse, (850) 469-9898.
